SENIOR MANAGEMENT

  Vicki Bendure, APR

As President of Bendure Communications, Vicki has been working in public relations for more than 20 years.  During that time she has established media contacts throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region as well as nationally and internationally. Recent experience in event strategic communications, media relations and promotions includes the Los Angeles Marathon, launch and oversight of  the Washington, D.C. Marathon, launch of the Washington Mystics Foundation’s anti-obesity program and overseeing media coverage on a Washington Mystics Foundation/Youth Aids Forum with Ashley Judd and Lyfe Jennings. Promotion of additional sports related events and organizations include promotion of the CSC Invitational (bike race), the Washington International Horse Show, Upperville Horse Show, Musket Ridge Golf Club, and the Virginia and International Gold Cup races. Work with not-for-profits includes coordinating, scheduling and holding news conferences around the world with Microsoft on behalf of the International Center for Missing & Exploited Children, overseeing the “green” carpet and all pre- and on-site press coverage for Jane Goodall’s annual gala. Working with Joe Gibbs and his Youth for Tomorrow Charities, Vicki worked to secure national sports press (Sports Illustrated, FOX Sports, etc.), as well as general coverage (“Today”, “Good Morning America”, “CBS Early Show”, USA Today, etc.). Additional work for a wide array of non-profits includes overseeing day-to-day media coverage with regional, national and international story placements . On behalf of sports clients, BCI has secured millions of dollars worth of trade advertising along with reduced rates and has produced powerful media stats and reports which have been effective in closing national and local sponsorships.

  Scott Stephens, Executive Vice President

As EVP of Bendure communications, Scott is responsible for day-to-day client management and support, pitching and securing media opportunities.  Scott also heads up new business development and customer retention. Additional responsibilities include: Social media management, crisis communications, event management and media training.

Scott has over 20 years in the media and advertising business and has worked with large international corporations as well as start-ups.

Prior to Bendure, Scott was a partner and president of The Push Group, a creative media services company. Before joining Push, Scott co-founded ProAd, a national advertising agency that developed proprietary technology within the digital asset management space and catered to regional and local markets. Scott started his career with USA TODAY newspaper and held several positions in their marketing and advertising divisions, managing USA Today’s National Sports and Travel Advertising departments.

Scott served as Chair of the Elmira College alumni board of directors and a board member / officer for the American Red Cross, national capital region. He also sits on advisory boards for several technology companies and advises nonprofits on campaign strategies. Scott lives in Fairfax with his wife and two daughters and enjoys photography, yoga and endurance racing.

  Marcia Massenberg

Marcia is in charge of research and media tracking at Bendure.  With Marcia’s help, clients can track their coverage and see the return on investment derived from working with Bendure.  Marcia also helps clients draft documents, place media buys, implement strategic plans, and distribute press materials.  Prior to joining Bendure, Marcia assisted the public relations department at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond, Virginia, where she updated the website calendar, wrote and distributed press releases, and assisted in the promotion and hosting of events.  Marcia lives in Leesburg, Va.
